North Caucasus Federal District development government program
The government program "Development of the North Caucasus Federal District to 2025" was approved on 17 December 2012 by the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation number №2408-p. Total funding for the program for the whole period of its implementation will be about RUB2.5trn.
The government program aims to stimulate economic development of the region by creating new centers of economic growth and coordinating business investment strategies and state investments in infrastructure, taking into account spatial development priorities and resource constraints.
The government program consists of the following subprograms:
Development of the North Caucasus Federal District's attractiveness to investment;
Development of the Caucasus Mineral Water Spings protected ecological area of the Russian Federation;
Development of tourist clusters in the North Caucasus Federal District, Krasnodar Region and the Adyghe Republic.
To provide effective and long-term planning of the North Caucasus Federal District's development, the impact and adequacy of its resource base, broken down by federal subject, will be assessed within the framework of seven territorial subprograms, one for each of the subjects.
